Participants: Teaching artists and arts educators working in Washington State
Join TAT Lab faculty for “Communities of Practice,” a series of conversational sessions where participants give and receive feedback about works in progress. Each session is guided by participant inquiry and interest. TAT Lab faculty will facilitate peer to peer conversations about refining learning goals, curriculum development, assessment methods, building community, culturally responsive teaching, and more.
In an evolving arts education landscape, a community of practice can hold us accountable, inspire ideas and help us navigate personal and collective arts education work.
Communities of Practice sessions are open to all, regardless of prior TAT Lab experience. TAT Lab alumni welcome!

Participants: Teaching artists and arts educators working in Washington State
Join Washington-based teaching artists to further explore culturally responsive teaching and learning through the arts. By exploring American history and our own experiences and identities, we can teach with greater self-awareness and justice. Ideas to Action, a TAT Lab workshop, offers an opportunity to reflect on the historical context of racism in arts and education, and how self-reflection is a key step in planning for culturally responsive and inclusive teaching.
Ideas to Action is open to all, regardless of previous TAT Lab experience. Participants can join individually or be sponsored by their employer.
